Richard Parker's Work

About This Artist:

Richard Parker lives in Tipton, Indiana. After retiring from a career as an engineer he began wood turning. He uses native Indiana hardwoods that have fallen. Pieces are sometimes accented with dark rings, color tinting, or stippling. Each one is unique and is an expression of the wood's beauty.

Commonly used woods include walnut, maple, pear, pecan, mulberry, cherry, hickory and ash. Each bowl is a one-of-a-kind, so selection changes regularly.

These handcrafted bowls make a lovely art gift. The bowls dress up any table or shelf, and are also useful. All bowls are food safe. Hand wash.
